Testing Off Campus

If you are unable to write the TRU entry assessments tests (ACCUPLACER) at TRU Kamloops or one of the TRU regional offices, you may be able to write it remotely supervised by a virtual proctor or off-campus supervised by a qualified proctor.

Completing the ACCUPLACER remotely using a virtual proctor

You may write your ACCUPLACER at home or another location with a virtual proctor through a company called Meazure Learning (ProctorU).  It can be scheduled any time of the day or night.

  1. Your computer/laptop must have audio and video capabilities, and a strong internet connection for virtual/remote proctoring. To ensure your system meets these requirements, please visit the following site: Equipment Requirements – ProctorU

  2. Complete the ACCUPLACER registration form, select virtual/remote proctor and pay the TRU testing fee ($38 CDN, rewrite $25 CDN + GST). This TRU testing fee is non-refundable

  3. Once the form and comfirmation of payment have been received, the Assessment Centre will email instructions for scheduling and paying for the remote/virtual proctoring services within three (3) business days. Please note, there is an additional fee of $28 USD, payable to Meazure Learning for the virtual/remote proctoring services.

  4. The virtual testing sessions is schedule through Meazure Learning using a voucher. The voucher is valid for up to 90 days, so the testing needs to be completed within that time frame.
