mwarner@tru.caBiography
Weyt-kp! Mackenzie is grateful to live and learn in Tk’emlúps within Secwépemc’ulucw, the unceded territory of the Secwépemc peoples.
She began with the TRU Writing Centre as a tutor in 2016 and completed her Bachelor of Arts with a Co-operative Education designation. Her co-op placements included Marketing and Communications for the Sustainability Office and Career and Experiential Learning.
As the Writing Centre Support Specialist, she enjoys supporting tutors and students as they navigate their academic and writing journeys. She believes in practical education and hopes to encourage and empower students to embrace their unique pathways and perspectives.
In the wild—also known as the Writing Centre—you will probably find Mackenzie huddled in a low-light environment like a mushroom, working away to music while her tea grows cold because she has forgotten about it.
