What to expect

Featuring over 100 booths, displays and experiences, you’ll find everything you want to know about TRU at Open House. Not a future TRU student? We’d still love to show you around campus. Connect with the TRU community, participate in hands-on activities, grab lunch and win prizes at TRU Open House.

9 a.m. Check-in, treats and the resource fair

Check-in at any check-in and information booth around campus, then head to Open House Headquarters to grab a free treat before you head into the resource fair.

9:45 a.m. Morning welcome

Open House is meant to be informative, but also fun. What better way to start the day than with music, TRU merch and connection.

10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Open House experiences

Curious about a specific program at TRU? Want a chance to explore our buildings and learning spaces? Faculty will be running interactive activities across campus. There’s an experience (or several!) for everyone.

10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Fun Zone

Stop by the Fun Zone to find activities for all ages. Grab some cotton candy, take a picture with Wolfie, see Uncle Chris the Clown and more!

10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Campus and residence tours

Explore our beautiful campus on a guided tour led by a current TRU student, then drop by North Tower, East Village, or Coyote Den for a tour every 15 minutes.

10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Food trucks and TRU Food Services

Grab a bite to eat at local food trucks or select TRU Food Service locations.

12:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. WolfPack Soccer Games

Cheer on the men’s and women’s soccer teams at Hillside Stadium, right next to campus! Entry is free for all Open House attendees. Stop by the walking shuttle in Open House Headquarters to be guided to the stadium.

2:00 p.m. - Grand prize draws

Stay for the scavenger hunt prize and tuition grand prize draw.

Have questions on the day of? Look for a friendly face in a TRU t-shirt for assistance.

Directions and parking

Check-in begins at 9 a.m. at check-in and information booths across the TRU Kamloops campus. Head to Open House Headquarters in the Campus Commons to grab a treat and visit the resource fair. Open House experiences will begin at 10 a.m.

Parking is free on campus for Open House. Since it’s Saturday, you’re welcome to park anywhere you want (except for reserved parking spots), but we suggest parking in Lot N or H. Watch for signs and volunteers when you arrive on campus. View the TRU parking map below.
