XCRP 0600 - Introduction to Woodworking
This introductory woodworking course is designed to give participants exposure to carpentry projects and gain confidence in operating power tools with a focus on finishing and joinery. It will include a strong focus on knowledge and the safe use of tools and shop power equipment. Upon demonstration of competency in tool and equipment use, participants will partake in a finished wood project of their choice: a small step stool, cutting board, or charcuterie board. The course duration should allow you time to choose another project to work on in class where you will be responsible for your own supplies. Participants will be required to supply and wear CSA Approved footwear in the shop.
